Seasons’ Greetings from Palliative Care Works!

We wish everyone a peaceful end to 2025 and all the very best for 2026.

December 2025 newsletter, image 1We have had an exciting year - supporting developments in the Kingdom of Lesotho, Tanzania and attending the APCA conference in Botswana, presenting a workshop and two posters. The Board of Trustees has welcomed Grace Rowley and Sara Stevenson-Baker and the Associate Members have welcomed Faraja Kilewa from Tanzania and Nuhamin Gebre from Ethiopia.

December 2025 newsletter, image 2At the AGM in October, the Chair of the Board has moved to Fiona Rawlinson from Cardiff - The Board bid a very fond farewell to Ruth Wooldridge, a founder member of PCW, and George Smerdon, the previous Chair. George continues to lead the Associates’ group.

The annual conference was again held in Sobell House, Oxford - delegates present in Oxford and online were treated to excellent and thought-provoking plenaries about navigating the challenging geopolitical and financial climate of delivering palliative care from December 2025 newsletter, image 3 Ben Simms of Global Health Partnerships [formally THET] followed by the powerful message of narrative and solace through music from Bob Heath. Project updates and some presentations from Associate members were inspiring and fueled the group discussions during the afternoon.

SAVE THE DATE!

Our next conference will be held in Oxford on Saturday 3rd October 2026. We would love
